British Council Finland, along with local and other European cultural organisations, provides a programme on Responsible Design.
With a focus on Finnish public spaces the overall aim of this ”Responsible Design” project is to build upon issues of social responsibility, openness, interculturalism and diversity through widening and deepening the roles that design plays in peoples’ lives. Since physical access to public space has generally improved, this project will draw upon and inspire cutting edge thinking to explore how design can advance the quality of public places and the promotion of peoples’ happiness. This assumes that design has a vital role to play in integrating different urban communities into Finnish society. Please find more information:www.responsibledesign.fi.
